Study O Portable will be presenting Clogs among other products at Royal ArtEZ exhibition, a part of Arnhem Mode Biënnale 2009. Clogs are wooden soles with waxed cotton cords that are woven or bound around the soles to hold the foot in place. One of them uses a weaving technique similar to finger trap to hold the heel in place, while the other version has an ankle strap that’s made from a single rope bound and tightened around the heel.

From the text by Nuno Coelho on the exhibition catalogue:
… The objects on the show could be interpreted as an example of designers desire to express the particular needs of the time; a snapshot of the material culture produced in our polarised comtemporary urban existence.

Last weekend, we did our first edition of Chain Jam, a live performance of designing and making necklaces, at My Sugarland, the great boutique by Zoe Lem.
The customers could pick 10 items from the box and we made necklaces using the pieces.
Below are some of the necklaces we made.
